But Armenians should also get off their high horse of sanctimony because while they were massacred by the Ottomans, they did also commit some crimes against Turks in that period - that is not entirely fictitious. The Ottoman Empire was certainly oppressive to many of its subject peoples, but if all are now start crying foul and demanding apology and reparations, the Turks will never be finished with this travesty. Perhaps, having witnessed the humiliation (and extortion) of Germany, their erstwhile ally, at the hands of the Zionists, the Turks learned a valuable lesson about the benefits of denial. Finally, while my own country (Lebanon) did suffer at the hands of the Ottomans, I am sick and tired of hearing people trash a nation like the Turks. They are an historic nation with a proud past and present. Gifted synthesisers, they have a glorious cultural heritage. Politically crafty, they fight with the heart of a lion when attacked. Armenians, though a nation I respect for their industry, have been slapped around by practically everyone. Maybe that's because they allowed it to happen?
